Designer Spotlight: Spell and the Gypsy Collective

Feathers. Leather. The colour turquiose… If that doesnt drum up beautiful images of two girls floating along the Byron Bay coastline dressed from head to toe in some of the most beautiful beach inspired designs ever, then you need to spend more time on the Australian coast!


Elizabeth and Isabella are the founders and designers of Spell and the Gypsy Collective, who specialise in beautiful, free flowing and organically styled and textured clothing. These two girls have design wooven into their veins, with a craft leatherman as a father and pottery artist/painter as a mother.


Their many stunningly crafted clothing collections are inspired by vintage treasures, far of places and beautiful childhood memories.
Their collections vividly portray a rich childhood history of growing up on the Australia coastline, without a care in the world but with a strong, positive, image of self and personality. Something that is often difficult voice in the fashion industry.


The sheer beauty and uniquness of the Spell and the Gypsy collective is something that can only be caputured by two artists who produce their art for no other reason but as in expression of who they are and what they love.
